Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

JG Music Tools is a music sheet + recording app operated by Jeremy Gaisin. By using it, you agree to these terms.

2. Your Account

• You're responsible for your account credentials
• You must be 13+ to sign up
• One account per person (or one per band, with shared login)
• Don't share access with people who haven't agreed to these terms

3. Your Content

You own everything you upload — sheets, setlists, recordings, voice notes. We claim no rights over your content. We only need a license to store it and let you access it across devices.

You promise: you have the right to upload what you upload. Don't upload copyrighted sheet music you don't own a license to share.

4. Free vs Paid

Free tier includes a generous amount of features (see /pricing/). Paid tiers add: more storage, larger setlists, more broadcast followers, AI features, marketplace selling.

Payments processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancel anytime from /app/account.php — keep access until end of billing period.

Refunds: Full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't:

• Upload illegal content or copyrighted material you don't own
• Try to break into other accounts
• Use the app for spam or harassment
• Reverse-engineer the app
• Re-sell or sublicense the service without permission

6. Live Broadcasts

The Live Broadcast feature lets you share what's on your screen with audience members. You're responsible for what you broadcast. Don't broadcast copyrighted material to large audiences without licenses.

7. Marketplace

If you sell setlists in the marketplace, you keep 80% of revenue (15% to us, 5% to Stripe). You guarantee you have the right to sell what you upload. We pay out monthly.

8. AI Features

AI features (transcription labels, sheet analysis) are powered by Anthropic Claude. They're not perfect. Use them as a starting point, not as a final answer.

9. Service Availability

We try to keep the service up 99.9% of the time. We can't guarantee zero downtime. We're not liable for lost recordings if you didn't back them up (use the Download buttons!).

10. Account Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms. We'll give you 30 days to download your data before permanent deletion.

11. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect damages (lost gigs, missed cues, etc.). Maximum total liability = what you paid us in the past 12 months.

12. Changes

If we update these terms, we'll show a banner for 30 days. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by laws of the State of New York, USA.
