Music That Shows Up

With Jeremy / Yirmi’s Israel morale-boosting missions, what began ad hoc — to spread joy to chayalim in memory of a dearly departed friend who brought joy to everyone around him — has grown into an ongoing grass-roots effort. The feedback from soldiers, coordinators, and families has been deeply warm, and the music has spread real light at moments where it’s most needed. One thing led to another, and on these unique missions to Israel I’m able to bring joy and music to soldiers in different places. The music has been dedicated, throughout, to Elyakeem (z”l) and to my father (z”l). Read more in the Jewish Link →

These trips bring music to IDF soldiers, wounded soldiers in rehab, Magav (Border Police), firefighters, evacuees, and communities still finding their footing.

The work is funded piece by piece. Trips involve real costs — renting a car, incidentals (e.g. expensive gas in the Holy Land, among many other costs), and sometimes missing gigs back home in America while I’m there. I fundraise where I can, but most trips have come up short, and I’ve covered the difference from personal savings to keep the music reaching the people who need it.

At a moment when antisemitism is rising and Israel often faces unfair characterizations in many corners of public life, it feels more important than ever to show up — to bring love from America (and friends around the world) to our brethren in Israel, to stand alongside those on the front lines fighting terrorism, and to remind everyone, including ourselves: Am Yisrael Chai. I’m proud to be an American Jew who values our democratic ally in the Middle East. If you’d like to be part of these missions, any contribution — one-time or monthly — helps support and sustain these efforts.

Bring Them Home — Voices & Music for the Hostages

A few moments — in Israel and in the States — standing with those calling for the hostages’ return.

To be clear: these clips are not performances for the hostages themselves. They’re moments at Hostage Square (Kikar HaChatufim) in Tel Aviv — where families, friends, and supporters gathered to demand their return — plus a quiet stateside moment with a friend, joining voices in the same call.

Stateside — Voices for the Hostages

A quiet moment with a friend in the States, joining voices in the call to bring the hostages home · not part of the Israel missions, but a meaningful expression of solidarity

Baruch Hashem — the hostages from October 7 have all been returned home to Israel. Our hearts ache that not all of them came back alive and unharmed. We carry the memory of every kadosh who didn’t make it back, hold their families close, and never forget the ones still unaccounted for from years past. May every soul find peace, may Hashem comfort all who mourn, and may we know no more such sorrow.

Questions About Giving

The costs of a mission add up
Each trip carries real expenses — renting a car, gas (steep in Israel), lodging, flights, and equipment, with gear often costing more to rent or buy in Israel than it does back home. It all adds up quickly. (And sometimes, when away on a musical morale-boosting mission, I’ve even missed gigs back in America.) More than one mission has ended in the red, with the shortfall covered out of pocket just to keep the music reaching the soldiers — so support genuinely makes a difference and is deeply appreciated.
Is a small amount still worth giving?
Absolutely. These trips are funded piece by piece — a tank of gas here, a day’s car rental there. A small one-time gift, or a modest monthly amount, adds up and matters. There is no minimum and nothing too small to be appreciated.
Can I give every month?
Yes — the “Israel Music — Monthly” option above sets up an ongoing contribution. Monthly partners are what make it possible to plan future trips with confidence rather than scrambling to fund each one.
Can I dedicate my gift in someone’s memory or honor?
Yes, and it’s meaningful to do so — the music on these missions has been dedicated throughout to Elyakeem (z”l) and to my father (z”l). Just add a name in the payment note, or mention it when you reach out, and your dedication will be carried with the music.
Will I hear how it was used?
Yes — reach out and I’m glad to share where the music went and what it meant. Clips and photos from the trips are throughout this page, and there are always more from the road.

However you give — once, monthly, large or small — thank you for helping bring music and a little light to people who need it.
